Estepona - A great place to buy on the Costa del Sol.
Over the past few years, Estepona as a town has changed dramatically. The mayor has introduced huge changes to the town, including a new hospital, sports facilities and leisure areas.
The results of the changes have increased the size of the town, both geographically and population wise.
The picturesque paseo is now bustling winter and summer, with the local residents enjoying the sunny climate and beautiful views. Tourist wise, the golfers love the winter months and beach lovers and families love it in the summer months.
Estepona is hugely popular with families, there is always something to occupy the kids. The latest initiative is a bike ride on the last Sunday of every month, where families can ride with a police escort through Estepona, great for every age. Together with a massive range of theatre, sport and arts activities, it attracts children of all ages, and we have not even mentioned the beach, and all the fun activities that go with it.
If you are thinking about getting a second property, and thinking about the Costa del Sol, then Estepona is a great option. Currently prices are not as expensive as neighboring Marbella, and there are still a few bargains to be had. However, the market rates are increasing, and property is not as available as it has been in previous years.
In addition, the rental market in Estepona is at an all time high, with long term rentals been incredibly difficult to find, and rents at an all time high. The same can be said of the short term rental market, where property is in high demand. There is a great opportunity at the moment to purchase a holiday apartment and rent it out when you are not using it. The best of both worlds.
Whatever reason, you are thinking of buying a property on the Costa Del Sol, make sure you give Estepona a look.
Beautiful, and alive, Estepona has held on to its roots and created a truly incredible holiday destination.
